SEBRING - All the early mornings of working out during the summer are already paying off for the Sebring Blue Streaks volleyball team.
The Streaks shrugged off some opening game nerves to outlast a scrappy Lake Placid squad in a three-game sweep in the late game of the Sebring Pre-Season Classic on Tuesday.
Senior Molly Blackman finished with five kills and four blocks, while Brit Augustine had 20 assists and five blocks to lift the Streaks to a hard-fought win over the Green Dragons.
Sebring will face arch-rival Avon Park in the tournament finale on Thursday at 7:30 p.m.
