Obama For President

Published: August 21, 2008

Commenting on Mr. Donald A. Pusey's letter of rebuttal to Mr. Randy Ludacer's letter, endorsing Obama for president, I would like to make a few comments of my own. Mr. Pusey, perhaps you have not read as many letters and guest editorials from Randy as I have, but I have read many.

Mr. Ludacer is a far leaning leftist Democratic retired lawyer, who has a particular gift for editorializing. He hates the military, especially decorated general officers wearing their decorations. In one of his letters he almost came unglued at the sight of General Petraeus in all his glory, testifying before a congressional committee reporting on the surge, which is just another way of re-enforcing what you already have and changing objectives.

In one of his letters he mentioned that while in Vietnam as a civilian, serving in some capacity, he got chewed out by some general, hence his dislike for "brass."

He is a gifted writer and while I do not always agree with him, I enjoy reading his opinions. The fact that he is so much to the left of center, I believe explains why he is endorsing the Mayor Daley Machine Chicago Obama. He is probably from "the great society 1965, L.B.J. gang," do you remember them? First they got into a war and then they created a generation of malingerers who wouldn't work, it was a lot easier getting a check from Uncle Sam.

That is about what will happen if Obama is elected. By the time the black caucus gets finished with him, not one piece of socialist legislation will go unsigned and with Pelosi and Reid by his side.

I am a conservative Republican, but I can hardly wait for Jan. 20, 2009. For eight years I have seen my country going in the wrong direction. I have never agreed with the Iraq War from the first shot fired. The war has been a sticking point with me and a thorn in the side of the rest of the world.

In 2006 the Democrats came to power; they were going to bring change. What have they done besides fight like school kids between themselves and the Republicans? Now Obama is going to bring "change" we can believe in. Give me a break!
