To portray Obama as a saint or as the second coming of Christ is not only disgusting but also somewhat funny. Anyone who would buy into this charade would have to be a total imbecile, however, there seems to be a lot of them running around.
It's been said that the presidential race is not a race issue. I beg to differ. It's reported that 92 percent of the black voters will vote for Obama just because he's African-American, as well as the constant reminders in his speeches of his heritage.
I have always voted for the person and not the party and what I think will be best for America. I find it counterproductive that the news media has taken a stance that puts Obama unfairly in the spotlight and the bias reporting that has been taking place. It's so obvious that its ridiculous.
A responsible news organization should report the news as it is, and not their opinions, yet most of the reporters are talking about Obama as the only candidate that can affect change. We need change, of course, to look at the way the last administration has handled things, but then the president has had to deal with a do-nothing Congress which is pretty much Democratically controlled.
To me its frightening to see the direction that we are heading. It's like the proverbial snowball rolling down the hill, and nothing to stop it. We're tired of getting ripped off at the gas stations, on our taxes and the illegal immigration, and now they want to start portraying a mere man as the second coming of Christ.
I realize that all the hype starts every time that we have an election, and both Republicans as well as Democrats are guilty of it, and I'm not naive enough that this letter or anything I say will make any changes. So if you vote, be careful. You may not get a president with the skills to be commander in chief, but a man that has had his image carefully and skillfully built and sold to you through the news media.
