AVON PARK –– A clean sweep.

The Sebring High School swimming and diving teams displayed depth and talent in winning the boys and girls titles in Thursday's four-team meet in Avon Park.

The Blue Streak girls finished the meet with 197 points followed by Lakeland Christian with 185, Avon Park had 102 and Frostproof finished with 52.

The Sebring boys finished first with 204, while Avon Park claimed second with 138, followed by Frostproof with 131 and Lakeland Christian came in fourth with 24.

The Sebring girls medley relay squad won with a 2:01.57. The Blue Streak boys took first and third in the medley relay event with a 1:55.88 and a 2:14.36.

Avon Park's boys took second with a 2:11.

In the 200-yard freestyle, Sebring junior Megan Wolfe broke the school record of 2:05.63 and won the event with a 2:00.22.

Avon Park's Brittany Murphy took third in the 200 freestyle with a 2:39.00.

For the boys, Brian Miller took first with a 2:36.55 followed by Red Devil Pablo Pantoja with a 2:42 and Blue Streak Dustin Hinkle with a 2:49.44.

Sebring's Katie Bullard swam a 2:41.54 for second in the 200 individual medley followed by teammate Samantha Miller with a 2:51.57.

Cameron Willey took first for the Sebring boys with a 2:48.77 and Spencer Caton was third with a 3:10.42.

In the 50 free, Blue Streak Christy Livingston swam a 29.41 for second and teammate Jason Parsons swam a 26.15 for second in the boys 50 free.

Avon Park's Heather Barnes took first in girls diving with 182.05 points.

Sebring's Ashley Orevetz (133.05) and Michelle Bash (116.80) took second and third.

Miguel Ortiz (196.15) and John Chitum (157.05), both of Avon Park, took first and second in boys diving and Sebring's Colton Statler (147.00) took third.

Sebring's Leeza Freeland placed second in the girls 100 fly with a 1:04.69.

In the boys 100 fly, Sebring's Josh Heflin (1:20.13) and Dustin Hinkle (1:36.51) took second and third.

In the 100 free, Sebring's Katie Havery (1:05.33) placed second and Avon Park's Brittany Murphy (1:06.71) finished third.

Sebring's Thomas Quigg took first in the boys 100 free with a 58.13 and Avon Park's Will Odham finished third with a 1:08.91.

Blue Streak Samantha Spiegel (6.45.20) and Jessica Todd (6:54.54) took first and third in the 500 freestyle.

Avon Park's Drew Sedlock swam a 7:02.16 for first in the boys 500 freestyle.

Sebring took first and third in both the girls and the boys 200 freestyle relay.

Avon Park took second in the boys 200 freestyle relay.

In the 100 backstroke, Brittany Ricker took third for Sebring with a 1:18.20.

Shaanan Spiegel (SHS) swam a 1:06.23 for first in the boys and Taylor Bauer (SHS) swam a 1:25.69 for third.

Sebring's Paige Giller took second in the 100 breastroke for the girls with a 1:18.70.

Bryan Kirsch swam a 1:09.54 for first in the boys.

In the 400 free relay, Sebring's girls took first and third and Sebring's boys finished first and second.

The Blackman Invitational will be held at the Sebring High School pool today.

This is an all-relay swim meet hosted by Tim and Martile Blackman.
