ARCADIA - The DeSoto Bulldog rushing attack took a bite out of Avon Park's playoff chances on Friday night.
DeSoto rushed for 236 yards and five touchdowns, while the Bulldog defense held the Red Devils to 89 yards of total offense in handing Avon Park a 41-0 loss in a key Class 3A-District 12 matchup at Bulldog Stadium.
The loss drops Avon Park to 1-2 in district play, while the Bulldogs stay undefeated at 3-0.
Avon Park's offense was pummelled by DeSoto's defense, which picked off four passes and forced three fumbles on the night.
