Retail Job Fair Set For Oct. 15

SEBRING — Heartland Workforce will be hosting its second pre-holiday retail hiring event at the Highlands One-Stop Career Center on Monday, Oct. 15 from 10 a.m. – 2 p.m.

Attendees are asked to bring a resume and be appropriately dressed to interview for part-time and full-time seasonal work. Sales, customer service, cashier and food service positions will be available.

The following employers have committed so far to take part in the job fair: Ross, Sebring Wal–Mart, Michaels, Wauchula Wal-Mart, Sears, Sebring Walgreens, Sebring Kmart, South Florida Community College, Bealls, All State-Jessica Hartline Insurance, Belks, Sunshine Staffing, Home Depot, Marshalls, Books A Million, Panera Bread, Big Lots, Cross Country Automotive Services, Quality Inn and Avon Park Correctional Institute. Other employers could be participating.

Don McDonough, business services consultant at Heartland Workforce, said the number of people that will be hired depends – if it is a store – on the size of the retail operation.
