SEBRING — A Sebring woman was seriously injured Friday afternoon at the intersection of Skipper Road and U.S. 27, after driving her mini-van into the path of a southbound mini-van, a Florida Highway Patrol report stated.

Randa M. Hall, 82, was transported to Highlands Regional Medical Center. Her front seat passenger Leonard Hall, 85, sustained minor injuries but was not transported, the report stated.
Both of the Halls were wearing their seat belts as was the other driver.

It was about 1:12 p.m. Friday, when Randa Hall was driving a 2003 Chrysler mini-van east on Skipper Road. She pulled onto U.S. 27, when the van was broadsided on the front left side, by a southbound 2005 Chevrolet mini-van, driven by Jose Gonzalez, 54, also of Sebring, the report stated.

The Chevrolet came to a stop in the grassy median, south of Skipper Road. Gonzalez was not hurt, according to the report.
Each vehicle sustained about $10,000 in damage.

Hall was issued a citation on a charge of violation of the right of way entering an intersection of a thru highway.
Hall's mini-van rotated clockwise and ended up facing southwest in the outside lane of U.S. 27.

Southbound lanes of U.S. 27 were blocked for about 30 minutes until the vehicle was pulled to the shoulder, the report stated.
Hall was listed in stable condition, according to Caroline Miller, a hospital spokeswoman.
