Sebring Swim Team Splashes To Victory

WINTER HAVEN — The Sebring High School swim and dive team competed in its last regular season meet on Tuesday against Lakeland, Lake Region, Kathleen, and Winter Haven. The Blue Streak girls first-place finish brought their season record to 41-1, while the boys first place gave them a 41-2 record for the regular season.

In the 200-yard medley relay, Megan Wolfe, Paige Giller, Leeza Freeland, and Katie Bullard swam a 2:04.96 for first.
The boys took both first and second as Matthew Vickers, Bryan Kirsch, Jason Parsons, and Shaanan Spiegel swam a 1:54.90, while Thomas Quigg, Brian Miller, Josh Heflin, and Rodney Havery swam a 2:01.94.

Bullard got back in the water after the relay to swim a 2:30.31 for second in the 200 free. Sam Spiegel came in right behind her with a 2:34.07 for third.

Both the girls and the boys took first in the 200 individual medley, as Wolfe swam a 2:26.07 for the girls and Spiegel swam a 2:17.50 for the boys.

In the 50 free, Kristi Livingston (30.03) out touched Alana Gordon (30.16) for second and third, respectively.
Quigg took second for the boys with a 26.21.

Jessica Todd took second in the 500 free with a 6:56.03, followed by Spiegel with a 6:58.87 for third.
Vickers won for the boys with a 5:55.25.

In boys diving, Spiegel took first with 168.15 points.
Freeland won the 100 fly for the girls with a 1:06.81.
Parsons swam a 1:03.09 for third in the boys.

In the girls 100 free, Havery took second with a 1:04.18.
In the 200 free relay, the girls took first and third. Freeland, Bullard, Havery, and Wolfe swam a 1:48.50. Livingston, Brittany Ricker, Katie Bryan, and Giller swam a 2:01.37.

For the boys, Parsons, Quigg, Heflin, and Kirsch took second with a 1:44.53.
Ricker took second in the 100 backstroke with a 1:16.97 in front of Bryan with a 1:19.03 for third.
Vickers took second for the boys with a 1:06.18.

In the 100 breaststroke, Giller took first for the girls with a 1:18.21 and Kirsch took first for the boys with a 1:08.78.

In the 400 free relay, Freeland, Bullard, Havery, and Wolfe took first with a 4:07.93.
For the boys, Parsons, Quigg, Vickers, and Spiegel took second with a 3:57.46 while Heflin, Statler, Havery, and Kirsch swam a 4:08.19 for third.
