Democracy In Crisis

Published: November 22, 2007

Why isn't the U.S. Congress, "both parties," promoting democracy? Are they lackeys for world government? Are we just a step away from what is happening in Pakistan?

The U.S. government is violating the rights of states. They need to enforce the people's constitution and enforcement of United States laws; after all we are a government of the "United" States.

The violation of state's rights has become an everyday offense of every rule of law, allowing foreign nationals to march in our streets.

I would remind you of our great Civil War in the 1800s. Does history have to repeat itself? Is it too much to ask that who is elected to public office listen to the people?

Here are some of those view that many voters would like answers to:

The giving of free healthcare to foreign nationals, when millions of American taxpayers have no health care.

The giving of social programs, such as Social Security, which is one of the most important social programs in American history. Adding these foreign nationals will destroy America's social programs.

The "Anchor Baby" problems created by these millions of illegal foreign nationals can and will destroy social programs and must also be addressed.

The immigration laws enacted in 1950 saw these many problems, but they have not been enforced. This has put our nation in the economic position it is in today, a position similar to 1929, if not worse. Should any incumbent be re-elected? I think not!

We can force term limits by not voting them back into office. Our elected offices were never intended to be lifetime office holders. Giving more than two terms in any office encourages corruption for any position in government.

As we look at the Supreme Court, we should not allow life time positions and betraying public trust.
