I cannot express the total shock and dissatisfaction of the now known vile garbage that has been exposed, and that is growing in our hamlet of a neighborhood.
There are approximately 15 families that live west of Dogwood Court on an intersecting, cul-de-sac ending road. This road runs through the middle of our hamlet, which is filled with children ranging from babies to adolescent teenagers. The bulk of our children can be seen riding bicycles, or visiting other neighborhood children in adjoining driveways and playing in front yards.
Under the watchful supervision of caring parents, never is a child out of eyesight from one household to another. There is always a constant state of family lifestyles being shared and enjoyed by everyone.
The peace and contentment that is experienced by those who live in our hamlet was shattered by the garbage that was observed by Highlands County Sheriff Susan Benton and deputies. With no regard to the safety of our community, or to the enrichment of our children, the vile garbage took it upon themselves to conduct activity that brought a raw barbaric criminal element right to the forefront in the face of our hamlet of a neighborhood.
They created the potential element of known violence and systemic collateral damage that is associated with this type of illicit drug culture activity. Remember, this was a decision that was made for selfish reasons of themselves. No concern was demonstrated for the safety and well-being of our families, our children nor our principles of community.
Thank you just doesn't seem to express the gratefulness from a shocked and distressed neighborhood, for the dedication and professional efforts demonstrated by the Highlands County Sheriff's Office. Your generous gifts and talents have successfully been able to remove this growing element from our hamlet of a neighborhood. Please accept this announcement of a job well done.
