SEBRING — A Delaware man died Friday morning when the Ford F-150 in which he was a passenger overturned, because the driver failed to see a fog-obscured curve.
The deceased was listed as Leroy Caldwell, of Smyrna, Del.
It was about 6 a.m. Friday when the pickup truck driven by Craig Ricardo Pressley, age unknown, of Smyrna Del., headed north on Bishop Dairy Road, which is off of Arbuckle Creek Road and about a half mile north of Hicks Road.
Pressley reported he was not familiar with the road and because of heavy morning fog he missed the turn ahead. The truck entered a ditch on the north side of the curve and flipped.
Pressley sustained minor injuries as did his other passenger, Melvin Wiley, 57, of Avon Park.
Both survivors were wearing their seat belts. The 2003 Ford pickup truck sustained about $12,000. No charges had been filed against the driver by press time.
Traffic was not affected by the accident investigation.
