Annoying Calls

Published: December 28, 2007

Christmas was a few days ago and our U.S. Congress is worried about how terrorists are treated. On the news 50 people have been killed by terrorists in the past week in another country.

Our Congress considers the treatment of terrorists inhumane, not considering them murdering people every day as inhumane treatment

My husband and I have had the flu and are very sick, yet our Congress does not consider getting unwanted calls all day long, early in the morning and after nine at night from someone we do not want to talk to, as inhumane treatment! How many people out there consider this inhumane treatment, invading their lives on a daily basis with unwanted calls?

If they intend to stop the way terrorists are treated when trying to get information out of them as to where the next group of people are going to be murdered, then surely they can stop the inhumane treatment we suffer every day of our lives with these unwanted telephone calls Congress has allowed to come into our home.
I made a call to my representative about the many calls from the two different parties. The representative found out that their numbers were unlisted and that there was no way a complaint could be filed. What good is being able to complain when our government allows unlisted telephone numbers coming into our homes to annoy us on a daily basis?

Come on elected officials, let's get the same treatment. You seem to spend so much time in seeing terrorists get humane treatment, give us American citizens the right to your same concerns and stop these calls from coming into our homes
