SEBRING — Three women were robbed at gunpoint Monday at a coin laundry in the Town Square shopping center, located at 1118 Lakeview Drive, in Sebring.
It was just before 1:29 a.m. Monday, when police were dispatched to the laundromat responding to the robbery call.
When police arrived the women reported that just five minutes earlier, two men robbed them at gunpoint.
They described the suspects as black, wearing black sweat clothes, and black skull caps, one about 5-feet 3-inches tall with a thin build and the second 6 feet tall with a thin build.
The shorter of the two was holding the handgun, the report stated, and he sounded like he could possibly have been a juvenile.
The pair was last seen running from the back door of the laundromat.
Police established a perimeter around the shopping center and the sheriff's K-9 team attempted a track with no success.
No information was available on what was stolen from the victims. Sebring police ask that anyone with any information about this crime to call the 471-5108.
