Michael Vick deserves a second chance? You've got to be kidding. This is a man who has never once apologized for what he did. His only regret is that he got caught doing it.
He has shown no signs of remorse and to all appearances no sign that he feels he did anything wrong. Vick will not receive any counseling or attempt at rehabilitation during his short few months in prison, and yet you think he should be able to return to a million dollar NFL career? How exactly is he going to "see the error of his ways" if he is allowed to resume his ways after a short respite?
We keep tabs on sex offenders for the rest of their lives, we don't allow convicted felons to hold national office, so we are hardly a country "built on second chances." Michael Vick deserves our scorn, but a million dollar career in a sport where thousands of children view the participants as heroes?
Never!
