One of the biggest needs of our people today is to study God's Holy Word. From the beginning this was God's plan. As our Heavenly Father, we are to be obedient to him because He is an all-wise God, the God of creation.
He instructed us to teach His laws to our children when we get up and when we lie down. To do that we have to live it before them 24-7. This is a tedious process which requires prayer and dependence upon the Holy Spirit, but Oh! what a joy to walk with the Master. There are so many wonderful promises in His Holy Word, but they are conditional.
If we want His promises, we have to live for Him. His love is unconditional. He will always love us no matter what we do, but His promises requires obedience to Him and his Holy Word. This is the foundation of a Christian life which He compares to a house built on a rock. When the storms of life come, we like them built on a sturdy foundation, will stand, and not be moved.
There may be things we don't understand, but our faith assures us that He is going to be with us and carry us safely through. God's first commandment is: Exodus 20, "Though shalt have no other God's before me." When we are children, that kindly slips over our heads, but as we grow, we are more aware of its meaning. When we put anything before Him, that becomes our God and when we build our lives on anything else, we are sure to fail.
I appeal to each of you to join me in prayer daily that God will send us Godly candidates that will stand firm in their convictions, uphold the constitution and will have the wisdom to lead our country for the benefit of all. I can already see His mighty hand at work. When you get discouraged, read Chronicles 7:14 and claim His Promise.
