Glades Electric Cooperative slashes power bills

The board of trustees of Glades Electric Cooperative (GEC) has unanimously voted at their August and September meetings to immediately pass along to members 100 percent of the fuel savings from GEC's power provider - Seminole Electric.

Glades Electric members' cost of the first 1000 kWh's they use each month has dropped from $140.83 to $131.61.

Glades Electric is a not-for-profit electric distribution cooperative headquartered in Moore Haven. It serves members in Glades, Hendry, Highlands and Okeechobee counties.
