South Sebring Burger King extends drive-thru hours
SEBRING - The Sebring Burger King, 3130 U.S. 27 S., has extended its hours for the drive-thru.
It is now open 24 hours a day. The dinner menu is being served until 4 a.m. and the full breakfast menu is available starting at 4 a.m.
Skin care therapist moves
SEBRING - Elle Dewyngaert is now at The Studio of Health & Beauty, a progressive day spa and hair salon, located at 1131 U.S. 27 S. in Sebring.
A licensed skin care therapist, Dewyngaert is taking appointments at 381-8832.
Insurance company opens Sebring office
SEBRING - First Family Insurance has opened an office in Sebring.
First Family Insurance is located in the Welcome Center of The Greater Sebring Chamber of Commerce on U.S. 27. It is an independent insurance agency representing more than 30 top carriers of health, life, Medicare, dental and vision products for the individual and group markets with offices throughout the state.
The company offers employee benefit programs, disability, critical illness and supplemental health insurance products. It also offers business continuation planning free of charge and has an extensive line of Medicare supplement, advantage and prescription drug plans for seniors.

Davies joins MIDFLORIDA's Business Services Department
LAKELAND - MIDFLORIDA Credit Union announces the addition of Diane Davies, a 30-year banking industry veteran, who has joined the Business Services Department as a vice president.
"I am thrilled to join MIDFLORIDA as they represent what we all long for, especially in today's environment - strength and security," Davies said. "MIDFLORIDA's goal is to improve the financial well being of its members. It's about enriching the membership and not just boosting the bottom line of a stockholder. Decisions are based on what's best for the member and that mindset is something I missed and wanted back."
Davies comes to MIDFLORIDA from Bank of America, where she served as a relationship manager in the Global Wealth and Investment Management Division in Highlands and DeSoto counties. Her new role with MIDFLORIDA will focus on the expansion of the credit union's business and private banking services in the southern market of DeSoto, Hardee, Highlands and Okeechobee counties.

Money raised for breast cancer center
SEBRING - More than $4,500 was raised last month by several local salons during the "One Pink Strand at a Time" fundraiser to increase breast cancer awareness.
People could have a pink hair extension put in their hair for a $10 donation.
Poshe Day Salon raised $1,400.
The money will go to the Florida Hospital Comprehensive Breast Cancer Center.
