Gold's Gym To Open In Sebring
SEBRING Gold's Gym is planning to open this week in Sebring.
The gym will be located in the space next to Books-A-Million at the Shoppes at Shelby Crossing on U.S. 27.

Alley Joins Highlands Ridge Realty
AVON PARK Karen Alley joins Highlands Ridge Realty as the new sales and marketing manager.
Alley most recently was the sales manager for Brentwood Custom Homes at Eagle Creek Golf Community in Orlando. Previously she was the new homes consultant for Arthur Rutenberg Homes at Ibis Golf & Country Club in West Palm Beach.
With a background in magazine publishing and public relations on the Treasure Coast, Vero Beach to North Palm Beach, she will be promoting Highlands Ridge to local residents and visitors alike.
A graduate of University of South Florida, majoring in communications, Alley was born in Lakeland and comes to Sebring from Stuart.

Capt. Ron's Has Relocated
SEBRING Capt. Ron's Mercantile has moved to a new location in downtown Sebring.
The new address is 101 Circle Park Drive.
The store will be open Tuesday through Friday from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. and Saturday from 9 a.m. - 3 p.m.
A grand opening and ribbon cutting ceremony was held last Thursday.

LP Realtors To Meet
LAKE PLACID The Lake Placid Board of Realtors March general membership meeting will be held Wednesday, March 4 at the Elks Club.
Lunch will begin at 11:30 a.m. The menu will include pork loin, mashed potatoes and a vegetable.
Sharion Huson with All Around Septic and Sewer will present information on the American Cancer Society's Relay for Life.
The cost to attend the meeting is $8 and this meeting is for Realtor and affiliate members of the Lake Placid Board of Realtors and invited guests only.
Checks are to be made out to the Lake Placid Board of Realtors.

Surf-N-Turf Market Has Moved
SEBRING The Surf-N-Turf Market has moved from its Lake Josephine location to a larger store on the south side of Sebring.
The market's new address is 6408 U.S. 27 S.
Its hours are 10 a.m. - 6 p.m. Monday through Saturday and 11 a.m. - 3 p.m. Sunday.
The store is now able to carry more products, including five kinds of pure honey.

Surgical Center Open House Rescheduled
SEBRING An open house for the Surgical Center at Sun 'n Lake has been rescheduled for this week.
It will be held from 4:30 -6:30 p.m. Tuesday, March 3. There will be light refreshments and door prizes.
The surgical center is located behind Florida Hospital Heartland Division in Sebring.

TIB Bank Closes Sebring Branch
SEBRING The TIB Bank branch office on U.S. 27 in Sebring has closed.
Ed Crann, executive vice president for the bank, said it was a business decision.
"It was a terribly tough decision," Crann said. "It's a great market with great people, but economically it was not feasible."
The branch closed on Jan. 31.

Parade Of Homes To End
SEBRING The 2009 Spring Parade of Homes, sponsored by the Highlands County Builders Association, will conclude today.
The homes will be open from 1 - 5 p.m.
