Why did you start the business?
After five years of retirement, preceded by 33 years in the car business, I wanted to re-energize my life and experience. I owned franchised dealerships in New Hampshire (VW and Subaru) and missed the excitement and challenges.
Is there anything unique about your business that makes it different from the competition?
The process, products and people. This will be a small boutique-style car store selling niche cars. We are "no pressure" and fun. We will sell any good vehicle, but will specialize in Subaru, VW, Audi, BMW, Mazda and Mercedes Benz, just to name a few.
What challenges do you face in business?
First, like everybody today, the economy and big government intrusion. Second, getting the right cars at our small location on Lakeview Drive.
What do you like about your business?
Interaction with people and their cars. I love enthusiasts who enjoy driving good, fun cars. Those who appreciate performance, styling and cars with a bit different appeal - like 5-cylinder engines, convertible tops and all wheel drive.
