It is fitting that the largest home in the 2008 Fall Parade of Homes - described as having a bit of a European countryside look - is located in a new Sebring development with open spaces.
The Kennedy, with three bedrooms and four baths, has 4,743 square feet under roof and 3,578 square feet under air.
The address is 1006 Lake Reserve Road in Highland Lakes Reserve, which is located off Sparta Road adjacent to the Restoration Center.
The contractor is Shelagh Byatt of Indigo Builders of Lake Placid Inc.
"Kelly's theme on this house really is sort of the Tuscany look as evidenced by the color of the faucets and the hardware, as evidenced by the design of the kitchen - the light fixtures," said Byatt.
Griffin Carpet Mart's Kelly Griffin, ASID, was the interior designer for the home.
"We tried to show people different types of applications of materials and different types of flooring," Griffin said.
Likely to draw the attention of those who tour the house is the master bath with a duel entrance, walk-in shower and three shower heads.
"It's a neat shower," Griffin said.
The kitchen has pendant lighting and a farmhouse sink. The range hood has a hand-painted mural.
The home also features a second-floor game room, oak stair case, granite vanity tops, insulated windows, cypress ceiling on the porch, tiled roof and driveway pavers
This is Byatt's first entry in the Parade of Homes, which is sponsored by the Highlands County Builders Association.
"I am very excited about Highland Lakes Reserve, and I think this is an opportunity for the community to come out and realize what Highland Lakes Reserve is all about - the estate living."
The Kennedy's price is $695,000, including the lot which is more than two acres.
